PSYCH ROCK | Acid Mothers Temple

Acid Mothers Temple will take you to another dimension when you hear it. Led by guitarist, Kawabata Makoto, the Japanese psychedelic rock band has ecstacized audiences around the world — and through dozens of albums — since 1995. Its music is like (true to its name) taking a heavy acid trip, filled with experimental textures and luminescent auras that swirl around and wash over you. Acid Mothers Temple is a band of sonic alchemists that turn intense, kaleidoscopic atmospheres into dazzling, lysergic stratospheres.

Acid Mothers Temple will perform with Yoo Doo Right, Leus Zeus, and Pengo on Wednesday, April 18, at the Bug Jar, 219 Monroe Avenue. 9 p.m. $10-$12. bugjar.com; acidmothers.com.
