The Chinchillas were formed in 1985 in Rochester, NY out of the remnants of popular area bands The Press Tones, Hit and Run, and Omawahozen. The band is Peter Anvelt (guitar, vocals), Bill Corbett (bass, vocals), Bill Ribas (lead guitar) and Paul Ruske (drums).
