Carol Crocca of the Opera Guild of Rochester will discuss “Bad Girls in Opera,” Including those from the truly evil to the merely naughty. It includes behavior from murder to unconventionality in various forms. Included will be Medea (Meede), L’incoronazione di Poppea, Jenufa, Salome, Carmen, Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, Cosi fan tutte, Don Pasquale, and War and Peace: child murder to teenage rebellion.
