What’s the difference between sound editing and mixing?
In a nutshell: sound editing recognizes those who create/record the various individual audio tracks (dialog, effects, music, etc) to accompany the visual, while mixing involves choosing which of the hundreds of tracks to use (and with what emphasis) for each moment of film.
