MUSIC: I’ve seen the multi-Juno-Award-winning Tragically Hip twice before. Tonight
the band will be at the Auditorium (875 E. Main St., 9 p.m., $39.50-$69.50, rbtl.org).
This is one of the best-sounding “big rock” bands to grace the stage. The
Canadian super group has a new platter in tow, “Now For
Plan A,” it’s thirteenth in a long line of releases dating back to 1987 (though
the band began in 1983).

ART: Artists explore the forward motion of technology by
looking back: “Low Fidelity” is an
exhibition currently up at Tower Fine Arts Gallery (350 New Campus Drive, SUNY
Brockport) in which creators intentionally used outdated modes of technology in
the creation of or as the materials for their works. See the free show through
December 9; hours today are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For more info, visit brockport.edu/finearts.

MUSIC: (Update: show is sold out). It might be on a Tuesday, but don’t let that stop you
from heading over to the East End to check out LA’s Dillon Francis and what could be one of the best East Coast/West
Coast sets currently on tour. With a cheery upbeat kind of dance beat, it makes
it even more surprising when he makes the drop and gets all dubby.
Check it out tonight at Pearl (349 East Ave., 8 p.m., $15, 325-5660).

LITERATURE: Stop into Central Library (115 South Ave.)
today, 12:12-12:52 p.m., for a “Books
Sandwiched In”
discussion of “Grace and Grit: My Fight for Equal
Pay and Fairness at Goodyear and Beyond” by Lilly Ledbetter, as reviewed
by Lanier Scott Isom. The event is free to attend;
for more info, call 428-8350.

WORKSHOP: They may seem tricky, but with a little practice, crรชpes
aren’t that difficult to create. Want guidance? Take The CrepExperience, a workshop held
today, 6-8:30 p.m., at Simply Crรชpes Canandaigua (101 S. Main St.,
Canandaigua). Registration is $35; for more info, call 208-5486 or visit simplycrepes.com/Events.

MUSIC: If you want to spend your Tuesday evening dancing
away to some old big band tunes, you won’t want to miss the Penfield Rotary Big Band Swing Dance tonight
at Penfield Community Center (1985 Baird Road, Penfield, 340-8655). Get your
feet ready to go by 7:30 p.m., and entry will only cost you $1.
