at City Newspaper HQ, we get frequent
email updates from the Rochester Police Department filling us in on the latest
in local crime. Mostly, they just form a sad commentary. (You should see all
the RPD messages with the subject header “Homicide” clogging our inbox.) But
when one titled “Possible Fetus” arrived a couple weeks ago, we couldn’t help

Possible Fetus
On 07-25-05 at 11:20 p.m. RPD was requested to assist MCSO in the recovery of a cloth containing a badly decomposed or rotten item inside. The package was not opened and the M.E.s office responded as a precautionary measure. It has been determined that the “package” found last night at Durand Park is non-human, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office. Looks like food! Thanks, Joe
