First Friday is a monthly citywide gallery night showcasing area artists. Participating galleries exhibit a mix of local, national, and international talent, and many artists open their studios to the public. First Friday Rochester was initiated by Rochester Contemporary Art Center. This photo series gives a behind-the-scenes look at some of the artists that exhibited during in November 2013. Some photos were taken at the November First Friday event, while others were taken in their workspace. First Friday takes place again Friday, December 6.
