The life and work of Rochester theater icon Barbara Biddy will commemorated Saturday with a memorial service held in Geva’s Fielding Stage. Biddy and her husband Francis founded the Shipping Dock Theatre in 1980, and she served as its artistic director for more than three decades, presenting high-level productions of plays written by such artists as David Mamet and Tom Stoppard. Biddy died in late December 2018.
The service is free and open to the community, and is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, at 2 p.m., at 75 Woodbury Boulevard.
