The Landmark Society announced their 2025 Five to Revive on Thursday, March 13 during a press conference at their headquarters in Warner Castle.

The 2025 list includes:

  • Bellona Mill | Hamlet of Bellona, Yates County
  • Mid-Century Modern Round Banks | Monroe County
  • Wells College | Village of Aurora, Cayuga County
  • Cox Building | City of Rochester, Monroe County
  • Traditional Neighborhood Commercial Corridors | Thematic Listing

Launched as part of The Landmark Society’s 75th Anniversary in 2013, the annual Five to Revive list focuses on sites across the region in need of rehabilitation. The organization then strives to facilitate investment and protect our area’s architectural heritage by working with owners, developers, investors and other partners to create connections and reactivate the buildings within their communities.

“Since the program’s inception, we have been thrilled with the results over the years,” said Landmark Society Executive Director Wayne Goodman. “Shedding light on the needs of these resources leverages awareness and emphasizes the significance of these sites.”

Past Five to Revive sites include the Eastman Dental Dispensary, the Highland and Cobbs Hills Reservoirs, the Cadillac Hotel, the Lake Ontario State Parkway, the Phelps Hotel and more. (See full map below.)
