The results of CITY’s annual “Best of Rochester” readers’ poll are in! This year, we brought in a new voting platform, which resulted in more than 250,000 final votes for everything from your favorite brunch destination and yoga studio to picnic spot and local landmark.
After whittling the choices down to 106 ballot lines across five categories last year, we added back a bunch of categories and created some new ones this year, upping it by about 30 more.
And we once again assembled a team of CITY writers — both freelance and staff — to get their takes for best people/places/things flying under the radar (but should be on yours).
For the second year in a row, this year’s awards party took place at Radio Social on Carlson Road, and was open to all who wanted to attend — about 500 of you! From the team here at CITY: cheers to all the winners and finalists, and many thanks to our readers for playing along.
