have announced a partnership with URBAN
NATION, a Berlin-based organization that supports street art, for
the launch of an international exchange program between Rochester and Berlin.
This summer, artists curated by UN director, Yasha Young, have been invited to participate and

and Erich Lehman (co-curator, lead organizer).

And two more Rochester locals will be announced.
WALL\THERAPY 2015 will begin on July 17. This year’s
theme is surrealism and the fantastic.
To kick off the festival, 1975 Gallery (89 Charlotte St.)
will host an exhibition titled “IMPACT!,” which will showcase artwork from all the 2015
participating WALL\THERAPY artists in support of WALL\THERAPY sister project, IMPACT! (IMProvingAccess to Care by Teleradiology).
IMPACT seeks to provide easier access to better care in underdeveloped and
underserved regions through cloud-based x-ray services and a network of
volunteer radiologists supporting IMPACT sites. Both WALL\THERAPY and IMPACT! are projects of The Synthesis Collaborative.
During the week, Brooklyn Street Art founders Jaime Rojo
and Steve Harrington will visit Rochester to give a special talk during the
week.
We’ll keep you posted with updates regarding full schedules
of events and locations as information is released.
