Blackfriars Theatre has released the details of its 64th season, which
will start in October 2013 and run through June 2014.

The
season begins this fall with “Me and Jezebel” (October 18-November 2), a comedy
starring local drag legends Aggy Dune and Kasha Davis
about actress Bette Davis coming to dinner at a fan’s home and deciding to stay
a while.

The
Mitch Albom tearjerker “Tuesdays with Morrie” will run November 15-24, with the holiday season
seeing the return of last year’s successful “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live
Radio Play”
and the return of the one-man show “The Santaland
Diaries,”
an adaptation of the David Sedaris short story.

The
new year will start with the comedy “Boeing Boeing” (January 24-February 8), about a playboy romancing
three airline stewardesses who all end up together at the same time. That’s
followed by the quirky comedy “The HOT L Baltimore” (March 28-April 12), about
the residents of a run-down hotel being forced out of the condemned structure.

The
new season will wrap with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical adaptation of the
Hollywood classic “Sunset Boulevard” (May 16-June 14), so get ready for your
close-ups for Mr. DeMille.

Blackfriars Theatre is located at 795 E. Main St. Subscriptions for
the new season cost $105-$150 for the five shows (holiday shows not included); single tickets cost
$28.50-$39.50, with $3 senior discounts for those 60 and older.
