Temporary Public Art Installation
Deadline: March 15 | Rochester Contemporary Art Center
Accepting 2D art proposals for three images to be exhibited to the public 24/7 for 4-6 months on the exterior of Rochester Contemporary Art Center. Artists will receive a stipend and use fee for exhibiting. Guidelines can be found on the website under the “READ” tab.

Call for Exhibitions
Deadline: April 15 | Hartnett Gallery at the University of Rochester
Now accepting proposals from artists, groups, and curators based in the US to exhibit work during the 2024-2025 academic year. Selected artists are guaranteed at 3 to 4 week exhibition, assistance installing the exhibition, a $1,000 honorarium paid at the end of the exhibition, an opening reception and public artist talk, and more. Clothesline Arts Festival

This year’s festival, which runs September 7-8, marks the 68th year for Clothesline. Open to artists from across the country, it’s the largest and longest running arts festival in Rochester. More info and application at mag.rochester.edu/events/clothesline-festival

Rochester Teen Film Festival

A collaborative, juried media competition for youth (ages 13-18) in the Greater Rochester region and beyond. The event honors the work of urban, suburban, and rural teen filmmakers and provides young people an authentic opportunity to participate in a real film festival. Visual artist submissions

Acceptable mediums include but are not limited to: painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, digital art, video, mixed media, site-specific installation, performance art and others. Throughout the year, FCAC accepts exhibition proposals in all three of its program areas: printmaking and book arts, ceramics, and photography and digital arts. Send an email with a detailed show proposal, 15 – 20 images of current work, a list of materials, sizes, and prices for each, a CV or resume, and an artist statement via email to the head of the appropriate department. Due to the volume of submissions, you’ll only hear from the center if they’re interested in showing your work, but your proposal will stay on file for one year. Creative Capital 2025 Open Call

In celebration of its 25th Anniversary in 2025, Creative Capital welcomes innovative and original new project proposals in visual arts, performing arts, film/moving image, technology, literature, multidisciplinary, and socially engaged forms. Unrestricted project grants of up to $50,000 will be awarded via a democratic, national, open call, external review process. Approximately 50 individual artists creating conceptually, aesthetically, and formally challenging, risk-taking, and never-before-seen projects will be funded. creative-captial.org
Equipment Access Grant for Filmmakers

2024 Teaching Artist Cohort
