MUSIC: Running a little on empty after a long work week? Why
not head down to the Main Street Armory (900 E. Main St.,
rochestermainstreetarmory.com, $15) and get refueled? By whom, you may ask?
Well, none other than Fuel themselves, with Velvet Elvis, Venrez, Bad Axis, and
Sandlot Heroes providing support. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., music starts at 7:30
p.m.

RECREATION/FILM: Join the Rocky Horror Picture Zombie Walk hosted by Roc City Roller Derby tonight,

information, call 244-0960, or visit muccc.org.

MUSIC: There’s something to be said about record-store
performances (besides how awesome they are). It’s classy for a touring musician
to reach out to the community by offering a free performance at a record store.
Kind of brings the whole musical picture full circle. Tonight, you can check
out Blanco Diablo at the House of
Guitars (645 Titus Ave., houseofguitars.com), bringing its Charlotte, NC-based
rock and roll starting at 6 p.m. And I mean, it’s Halloween season, so who can
say no to a band named after Beelzebub himself?

RECREATION: The Landmark Society will host a Ghost Walk tonight and Saturday,
featuring chilling tales from Rochester’s past. The first group departs at 6:30
p.m. from the Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word on the corner of East Avenue
and Goodman Street, and groups embark every 15 minutes until 9 p.m. Tickets are
$17-$20. For more information, call 546-7029 x15, or visit landmarksociety.org.

MUSIC: It’s Friday
Fright Night
as the official pre-Halloween weekend begins (since the
calendar is lame and put the actual holiday smack dab in the middle of the week).
There’s more stuff going on than you can chuck a pumpkin at, but some
highlights include roots-rock group Big
Leg Emma
at Sticky Lips (830 Jefferson Road, stickylipsbbq.com, 8 p.m.,
$10-$15), and the B-Sides Week #0002
Halloween Party
at Decibel Lounge (45 Euclid St., facebook.com/DecibelLounge, 9:30 p.m., $5-$10), and local rockers White Woods with The Michael Vadala Trio, The Reactions, and Right Turn Racer partying
it up Halloween style at the Bug Jar( 219 Monroe Ave., 9 p.m., $5-$7).
Get those costumes ready and get ready to bring in Halloween all weekend long!
