After the startling midseason finale reveal that Sophia(Madison Lintz)had been a walker all along, this weekโs return to โThe Walking Deadโ dealt with reactions to the bitter end of a failed search and rescue attempt.

Video Game Review: Mario Kart 7
From banana peels to blue shells, the “Mario Kart” series has continually been a fun and entertaining racing experience, appearing on every Nintendo platform since the Super Nintendo. And the good news is that none of that has changed with the Nintendo 3DS installment, โMario Kart 7.โ
Video Game Review: The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
Well, it wasnโt โThe Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.โ
As long as I have been gaming that has been the gold standard: The benchmark that most games fell short of.
DINING FEATURE: Rochester’s food challenges
For some people, food is just that: food. Fuel – ideally tasty fuel – that
keeps the body plugging along. But for an increasing segment of the population,
food and eating have become something else: a challenge. Another arena in which
to test who is the top dog, leader of the pack, or king of the hill.
“CSI” Season 12, Episode 7: That ol’ brain drain
This week "CSI" was a bundle of ideas thrown together in a lightning fast explosion that couldn't balance interesting with 'followable.' We had a fast food joint car accident, a war veteran's corpse being de-brained postmortem, a doctor murdered in his car, and a professional fighter who committed suicide. And then of course the clincher: […]
“South Park” Season 15, Episode 13: Attack the stuffing mines!
Thereโs usually at least one low point in every โSouth Parkโ run, and this week just didnโt do it for me.
Video Game Review: Kirby’s Return to Dreamland
The last time a proper iteration in Nintendoโs pink studded Kirby franchise came out, I was 11. I have fond nostalgia-fueled memories of โKirby 64: The Crystal Shards,โ which stood as my first, and still one of my favorite, games in the series.
“South Park” Season 15, Episode 12: Occupy the restroom!
Poor Cartman. Usually the one throwing the insults, this week was a giant blow against the overweight and rabble rousing force behind many of South Parkโs more extreme moments. And, in true SP charm, it came with a take on the Occupy Wall Street movement that was spot on genius. See, all the students in […]
“South Park” Season 15, Episode 11: Blowjobs on Broadway
Nothing is sacred when it comes to South Park. And leave it to creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker to keep it that way. Anybodyworriedthat newfound Broadway fame and a stunning nine Tonys would go to their heads, can rest assured. This week the duo, with help from โBook of Mormonโ composer Robert Lopez, took […]
“South Park” Season 15, Episode 10: All hail Lemmiwinks
This episode may go down as the one that restored my faith in โSouth Park.โ
“South Park” Season 15, Episode 9: No Habla Espanol
It seems despite the last two episodes nothing is going to change in the little mountain town of South Park. This week we saw no mention of Stan’s parents’ divorce, the world being made of shit, his and Kyle’s near falling out, or Jameson, for that matter. Is it a cop out? Yeah, pretty much. […]
Enigmatic cool
Many bands try to work for that perfect goal of marketability: a defined sound, a defined style, and defined licks. Music that people expect, easily squished into some category or another. Not so for Rochesterโs Polar Bear Club, which intentionally shoots for ambiguity. The band plays what it wants to play, sounds how it wants to sound, and hopes that listeners are able to meet it halfway and fill in the rest.
