Radiating heat from start to finish, Vinyl Orange Ottoman delivers high-energy soul music that’s sure to make you sweat. Currently working on its third studio album, the Rochester-based sextet fuses funky rock ‘n’ roll grooves with gospel-soul power and bluesy undertones. The band’s music is simultaneously nostalgic of the good old days and forging ahead into the future. Powerhouse vocalist and drummer Pete Griffith has a soulful growl to his voice, like Joe Cocker’s, while the band rips through keyboard and guitar solos with fervor. Vinyl Orange Ottoman performs a thrilling mixture of classic rock covers and blues-rock originals.

Vinyl Orange Ottoman will perform with Teagan and the Tweeds on Thursday, May 9, 8:30p.m. at Flour City Station, 170 East Avenue. $7-$10. Ages 21 and over. 413-5745. flourcitystation.com; artistecard.com/vinylorangeottoman.
