FOLK | The Felice Brothers

Since The Felice Brothers formed back in 2006 — with its members hailing from the upstate New York area — the band has continued to evolve, coming to embrace a Dylan-meets-bluegrass aesthetic, presenting listeners with a rustic sort of charm. The band's humble, back-woods beginnings can be heard in each and every song, through a love of rich, acoustic instrumentation and warm, simple melodies. The Felice Brothers released its fifth full-length, and first ever studio-produced album, "Favorite Waitress," on June 9. The Felice Brothers perform with Robert Ellis on Friday, June 20, at Water Street Music Hall, 204 N. Water Street. 8 p.m. $13. Waterstreetmusic.com; Thefelicebrothers.com.
