McBride Robles most recently served as vice president of expanded education at the New England Conservatory in Boston and before that, she had been chief operating officer at both the Baltimore and Nashville Symphonies.

She succeeds Curt Long, who served as the RPO’s president and CEO for nine years.

McBride Robles, a classically trained singer, joins the RPO amid a $50 million comprehensive campaign to grow its endowment and sustain its future.

“I’m honored to join the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra at such an exciting moment in its history,” she said in a statement. “The RPO’s commitment to artistic excellence, education and community engagement is deeply inspiring. I look forward to partnering with Music Director Andreas Delfs, Principal Pops Conductor Jeff Tyzik, the musicians, staff, board, donors and the Rochester community to build on the orchestra’s remarkable legacy.”

The RPO’s 2026-27 season features a Chuck Mangione tribute, a special show as part of Rochester Fringe Festival, a piano festival and more.
