A second federal appeals court has struck down the Defense of Marriage Act as unconstitutional, according to the New York Times. The 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals issued the ruling Thursday. The three-judge panel said the law violates equal protection.

The issue is expected to go to the Supreme Court.

  1. The best aspect of America is that, despite narrow-minded, bigoted people, freedom and equality will always eventually prevail.

    That should make the narrow-minded bigots question why they even bother spreading their hate.

  2. @Tom: The long war on marriage and family by Western elites (in which the latest salvo is the attempt to redefine the institution into meaninglessness) is purely ideological. It has absolutely nothing to do with “equality”, much less the “best aspect of America”.
