Starting in early 2015, Geva Theatre’s artists and actors will be housed at 1 Woodbury Boulevard, located steps away from Geva.

Geva has signed a 10-year lease for 11 studio lofts ranging in size from 456 square feet to 564 square feet, according to a press release from the theater. There will also be laundry facilities and a rooftop garden.

According to Geva spokesperson Dawn Kellogg, the 11 units will be on two floors. There will be several additional units in the building for rent. The building is currently vacant.

Per its collective bargaining unit, Geva must provide its actors with housing while they are in residence for the nine weeks of rehearsals and performances, the press release says.

Geva’s artists and actors are currently housed at an apartment complex in Gates.

  1. More people downtown 24/7. Very cool. Plus, having signed leases will help the developer get financing and expedite the project.
