thank you for enabling everyone to use facebook to comment. You have undoubtedly sqelched those who fear reprisal because of their position in life, or where they may work. Again, another opportunity lost for some meaningful insight due to the political correctness of this cowardly nation.

Totally agree with above. The status quo remains because those in power threaten those who attempt to offer real alternatives. Fear wins. It appears like those in power have influenced your paper. So sad.
Why the complaints? Someone can still post anonymously using a pseudonym. All City Newspaper needs is an email address. Anyone can create an email address without any problems with anonymity.
Mike is correct. After posting, I stand corrected. Sorry City. This venue still works. Easy and still private.
Enabling Facebook comments is fine as long as using a regular City account remains an option too. Some people prefer to not have Facebook accounts for various reasons.
