The Flying Squirrel Community Space will show the documentary film "A Fierce Green Fire" by Mark Kitchell at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 7. The film, which is based on the book of the same name by author Philip Shabecoff, chronicles the history of the environmental movement. It will be shown at 285 Clarissa Street.
Peace and anti-drone activists from Western New York will hold "Fly Kites, Not Drones" from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 6. Participants will gather on the east side of the 107th Airlift Wing New York Air National Guard Base in Niagara Falls, New York, to fly kites to protest drone use.
