The Seneca Park Zoo Society has created a video series of photographer David Liittschwager’s project documenting the biodiversity of the Genesee River’s ecosystem.

Liittschwager’s photographs continue on display at Rochester Contemporary Art Center through March 13.

  1. i had a idea for something very similar to this in the late 1970s, i was thinking larger area maybe 5 square ft, and set up a kit for 4H and the scouts with note book measuring tape small plastic bags to collect samples etc and a guide book ,, you could have a back yard or wood lot one and maybe a edge of pond one , child would do inistial survey record every thing in the block then go back each 3 to 6 months and do a recheck of the site, many people smarter than i could really set this up and acheive a lot of learning for young people , i was even thinking a 4H club could be set up just for this program
