In this class, students will learn how to sew their own sketchbook. Attendees will create their own book covers from patterned papers, fold and prepare papers for sewing, and then assemble the pieces together to create a hand bound blank book. The coptic binding highlights the exposed stitching and allows the book to open flat, making your book perfect for scrapbooking or photos, sketching or writing. Materials will be provided for you, but if you have a specific paper you’d like to use for your covers, bring that along.
