Sexy & trashy, Cruel Intentions offers a High School remake of Les Liaisons dangereuses / Dangerous Liasons (Phillippe’s performance is wonderfully, goofily channeling Malkovich’s from the film). With some time-period-defining 90s influences, including its soundtrack ( infamously Verve’s “Bittersweet Symphony”) and a great supporting cast — including Selma Blair, Joshua Jackson, and Christine Baranski, to name just a few.
