Area school children will be visiting Letchworth State Park in commemoration of the birth of its great benefactor, William Pryor Letchworth. A half-mile loop around the Glen Iris Inn will highlight the park's history. Along the loop, 15-minute programs, at ten interpretive stations in rotation, will be conducted on various subjects including flint knapping, atlatl demonstration, civil war camp life, wool spining, and local animals. You may even meet Caroline Bishop, Mr. Letchworth's trusty secretary, or Mr. Letchworth himself enjoying the festivities. Meet at the Letchworth Musesum area. This is a school program. Public welcomed.
