A community discussion about how to combat and impact individual, structural, and institutionalized racism. Kathryn Murano Santos, RMSC's Senior Director of Collections and Exhibits and Howard Eagle, a representative from the Take It Down Committee, will discuss the 8-month struggle the committee undertook to remove a racist carousel panel from the Dentzel Carousel at Ontario Beach Park in Rochester, NY, and explain how the Take It Down! Organizing Against Racism traveling exhibit came to be. There will also be a chance for community participation as the presenters open up a discussion about how we can organize to impact and dismantle racism in the community.
