Epilepsy-Pralid, Inc. and the University of Rochester Medical Center host a timely research seminar for medical professionals, family and community members about the risks of sudden unexpected death in patients with epilepsy (SUDEP). The workshop will include presentations by leading medical experts, a panel discussion by parents who lost a child due to sudden death, and a presentation about the recent NYS Legislation for Reporting of SUDEP (Senate Bill S2422). The keynote speaker is Dr. Cynthia Harden, who authored the practice guidelines for SUDEP incidence and risk factors.
