Big museums bust out the fun
Rochester, New York: the city that never
naps. This weekend is no exception.
The MemorialArtGallery
has My America Family Day on Sunday,
November 19 from noon to 4 p.m. Visit the new national traveling exhibition My America: Art from the Jewish Museum
Collection 1900-1955, as well as the permanent collection. Art activities,
tours, storytelling, and music performances, too.

The George Eastman House has Family Fun Day on Sunday, November 19 from 1 to 4 p.m., in
conjunction with the kid-friendly photography exhibit, Why Look at Animals? Well for one thing, they’re better looking
than some of the relatives you’ll be seated across the table from at
Thanksgiving. Enjoy crafts, the WegmansZoomobile, and Lollypop Farm’s therapy dogs. Finally, dogs for the rest of us. Visit the 12th annual Sweet Creations gingerbread house
display, too. Adult admission is $8, students pay $5, kids 5-12 are $3, 4 and

Are your kids starting to crack under a burgeoning load of
homework? Bring ’em down to Strong National Museum of
Play’s Field of Play Weekend on
Saturday, November 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, November 19, from
noon to 5 p.m. Hearken back to the halcyon days before standardized testing
with retro recess games like four square, jacks, marbles and hopscotch, and
