ART | Brockport Alumni Exhibit

Not everyone who made art in college makes the practice into their main career, but it doesn't mean they don't still create. For example, Trisha Koomen, a former student of The College at Brockport's Department of Art, is a registered nurse. Her artwork alludes to her medical practice: Koomen's sculpture "Vessel" is built of glass medical vials. Koomen's work is on display at the Tower Fine Arts Center Gallery (180 Holley Street, Brockport) through October 13, along with other Brockport Department of Art graduates Christina Laurel, Charity Henderson, and Mary Jo Whitman.

The alumni exhibit is held as part of the College at Brockport's Art Department's 50th anniversary.

The Tower's hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free. 395-2805; brockport.edu/academics/fine_arts.
