ART | "Engaging the Gamut" 

Gallery 384 continues its summer season with "Engaging the Gamut." The exhibit features oil paintings of animals and people in everyday situations by Elisa Root, who is known to create scenes of nature and moments of everyday life in bold color. Philippe Faraut, creator of classical-style portrait sculptures, will also have works on display, including detailed representations of both adults and children. Sherry Tulloch's multimedia paintings, which employ many different methods and are often considered abstract and collage-like, is also in this showcase with several abstract works made using layers of different mediums.

"Engaging the Gamut" is on display at Gallery 384 (384 East Avenue) through Tuesday, September 27. An artist reception will be held on Wednesday, September 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. artsrochester.org.
