Workshop: The Smart and Sassy Springtime Cooking series is back tonight, 6-8 p.m., with a course on "Simply Risotto." Music: Do you want to help support piracy in a positive way? Of course you do! Then head on down to see Russian folk band Igor & Red Elvises tonight at the Palmyra VFW (4306 State Route 31), that will be playing as a fundraiser for the Palmyra Pirate Weekend upcoming in August. The Kids in the Band Hall open up, music starts at 7 p.m., and tickets run $10-$12.

Theater: The Regional Writers Showcase series will feature "Galileo’s" by Bill Capossere tonight, 6 p.m., at Geva Theatre Center (75 Woodbury Blvd.). Tickets are free, but RSVP is required. For more information, call 232-4382 or visit gevatheatre.org.

Lecture: The Rochester Chapter of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State will host a debate titled "Does the Obamacare Contraceptive Mandate Violate Religious Freedom?" between persons from both sides of the issue tonight, 7:30 p.m., at First Unitarian Church (220 S Winton Rd.).
