Daily Choices: What to do on Wednesday, February 13

Theater: Out of Pocket productions continues the second show of its 2012-13 season, “All This and Moonlight,” at the Space Theater and Gallery at Greenovation (1199 E. Main St.). The romantic comedy - written by Charles R. Johnson - depicts the romantic life of a photographer named Ned Edwards, who is followed, literally, by the memories of his ex-girlfriend. The show continues through Sunday, Feb. 16, and all performances are at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 (with $5 being donated to the Community Gardens of Foodlink) and can be purchased by calling 269-4673 or at the door.

Music: Whether you deal in rock, funk, soul, blues, or whatever else, you’ll fit right in at the Abilene Pro-Am Jam, from 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Abilene Bar and Lounge (153 Liberty Pole Way). Chris “Hollywood” English will host the free jam night, and participating musicians should bring their own equipment. abilenebarandlounge.com.

Art: Catch the last day of “If I Had a Camera…Re-imagining Film and Media through a Feminist Lens,” an exhibition at the University of Rochester’s Sage Art Center (835 Wilson Blvd.). The show features feminist photography from UR students, faculty, and members of the Rochester community, and is presented by Sage, UR’s Film and Media Studies program, and the Susan B. Anthony Institute for Gender and Women’s Studies. The gallery is open from 8 a.m. to midnight. For more information, email [email protected] or call 275-6948.

Music: The trippy rock duo Rash completes its weeks-long winter residency at the Bug Jar (219 Monroe Ave.) with a show that starts at 9 p.m. Fellow locals Albert Einstein and the Hopi and Martin Freeman open. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $6 for 21 and over and $8 for under 21. Bugjar.com.

Music: Get serenaded at the first night of Rochester Rhythm and Romance: Jazz Hugs and Tap Dances, a musical valentine at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre Center (540 E. Main St.). At 7 p.m., you can enjoy one hour of tap choreography and romantic jazz standards by Bill Evans, Cheryl Johnson, and Courtney World. Guest artists from the Bill Evans Dance Company and the SUNY Brockport Department of Dance will also perform. Rochester Rhythm and Romance continues through Sunday, Feb. 17 with afternoon and evening performances. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling 325-4370; advance reservations are recommended.
