Rochester has craft beer enthusiasts aplenty. For this year's Flour City Brewers Fest, the organization will bring in 60 breweries, including local companies Rohrbach, Genesee, Swiftwater, Roc Brewing, and Three Heads. Alongside dozens of beers, other vendors will offer various ciders, spirits, and wines, not to mention the always-popular food trucks. Attendees can expect live music, too, with the bluegrass group Grass is Dead headlining the event and paying homage to The Grateful Dead.
Flour City Brewers Fest will take place Friday, August 18, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Rochester Public Market (580 North Union Street). VIP tickets sold out in less than an hour, but general admission tickets are $40, and are available online and at both Rohrbach Brewing Company locations, Rochester-area Wegmans, AJs Beer Warehouse, and Beers of the World. Designated drivers can purchase tickets for $10. Everyone, including designated drivers, must be 21 or older to attend. For more information, visit flourcitybrewfest.com.
