The tragic Prince of Denmark takes the stage this week with Screen Plays' production of William Shakespeare's "Hamlet." Directed by Lindsay Warren Baker, this production is set in the present day and features M.J. Savastano in the title role. With the news of his father's unexpected death, Hamlet returns home from university to find his mother marrying his throne-stealing uncle. When he encounters his father's ghost, he becomes consumed with thoughts of revenge.
"Hamlet" will be staged at the Lyric Theatre, 440 East Avenue, from Thursday, May 10, through Sunday, May 27.
