Re: “In Grove Place and PLEX neighborhoods, hopes and fears of development

I have lived in the plex neighborhood for 5 years and this parking issue is a myth. I have never once had a problem parking. There are curb cutouts on both sides of the street and more than 60% of the houses have driveways. Anyone who has lived off Monroe or Park understand parking challenges. It's also a sign of a desirable place to live...

If you are worried about "Gentrification" you would think only having R-1 single family homes is going to increase the rate in which values rise by limiting the supply of housing as the neighborhood becomes more desirable. Besides Plymouth is the main street that connects downtown to the airport, it's clearly a mixed use commercial/residential corridor.

This is the first time that I have heard the case about access to GVP from PLEX. They turned the road into a one way that flows from the PLEX neighborhood directly to GVP with parking right off the street to keep cars from cutting through GVP from Elmwood to Plymouth.
