Step right up to the greatest show in town: City Newspaper’s
Best of Rochester 2009!

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Every yearCity
asks Rochesterians to tell us their picks for the
best restaurants, businesses, arts groups, people, places, and things in the
Greater Rochester area. And this year it really was a circus: we had a record-breaking number of votes in both our
primary AND final ballots, which made many of the categories much more
competitive. Sure, there were a couple runaway winners (you folks really love
the Dinosaur, Bob Duffy, and Abby Wambach, don’t
you?), but other races were real squeakers — some categories were decided by
fewer than 10 votes. That should be even more incentive for you to vote for
your favorites next year.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  In addition
to our readers’ poll winners, City’s critics chimed in with their favorite
things about Rochester. Our
critics’ picks celebrate the lesser-known gems in our fair city; people,
places, and events that make living here unlike living anywhere else. If you
have your own thoughts about what makes Rochester so special, sound off in the comments section of this article at
