ART | 'Interior/Exterior'

The long-standing friendship between renowned local photographers Carl Chiarenza and Roger Bruce is highlighted in "Interior/Exterior," the current exhibit at RIT's University Gallery. Bruce and Chiarenza have dramatically different styles and methods, but share a passion for the elemental roots of the photographic process. Their combined interest in the history and aesthetics of photography is evident in their work despite the clear contrasts between them. The exhibit provides a look into a conversation between two friends, showcasing each artists' distinctive voice that works in dialogue with the other throughout the exhibit.

"Interior/Exterior" continues through Saturday, August 11, at University Gallery, Rochester Institute of Technology, 1 Lomb Memorial Drive. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. 475-2866; rit.edu/fa/gallery.
