Come get an inside look at some old buildings in the Cascade District that are experiencing new life. The Landmark Society of Western New York's Inside Downtown Tour takes place this Friday and Saturday, October 4 and 5, and it's a good opportunity not only for those thinking about downtown living, but for those who appreciate history as well.
See how long-standing buildings have been preserved and remodeled to keep up with modern times. Along with buildings in the Cascade District, the tour also makes stops at the Academy Building on South Fitzhugh Street and the newly opened lofts at 44 Exchange Boulevard.
The tour runs Friday 5-9 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m.-4 p.m., and ticket prices range from $17 to $25. Visit landmarksociety.org/insidedowntowntour for more information.
